TEHRAN–Japan, ever eager to maintain good relations with strategically important Iran, signed a series of agreements to provide grassroots support for humanitarian projects centered around medical organizations under its development assistance program.
A ceremony was held Feb. 5 in Tehran to mark the occasion.
Japan will provide a total of 543,435 euros (87 million yen) in aid for medical equipment purchases.
“This will prove to be of great help for us given our cash-strapped situation stemming from sanctions,” said an Iranian source.
