BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhua) — Chinese stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.7 percent to 3,027.33 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.6 percent lower at 9,297.96 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices reached 830 billion yuan (about 112 billion U.S. dollars), up from 796.33 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
