BEIJING, May 27 (Xinhua) — Chinese stocks closed higher Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.14 percent to 3,124.04 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.88 percent higher at 9,507.75 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices reached 774.81 billion yuan (108.97 billion U.S. dollars), up from the 763.9 billion yuan recorded on the previous trading day.
Shares related to e-commerce and lithography tools led the gains, while those related to HJT cells suffered significant losses.
