The combined market of companies listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday hit the $5 trillion milestone for the first time, at a time when markets are witnessing volatility amid the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections.
At close, the total valuation of the exchange’s listed companies was at an all-time high of Rs 414 lakh crore ($4.97 trillion), BSE data showed. The market of the top 10 companies was Rs 90.53 lakh crore, or $1 trillion.
